Resetting iphone with disabled home button

(Additional deets: Bought an iphone 2g from a guy this weekend. Worked perfectly fine for a few hours. When I got it home and hooked it up to my computer, the icons started shaking and the home button stopped working. I never managed to get it to connect to itunes and whenever I try it either says "Itunes can't connect due to an error" or "Itunes can't connect because of an invalid response".

I'm not that tech savvy, just want to get phone working. I tried the manual thing where I press both buttons simultaneously, also tried the thing where I press them alternately. Neither worked. Not convinced button is broken, but would be fine with using a home button app. Really more concerned with how to get the thing connected to itunes and working. Thanks.)

It should connect to iTunes even if the home button doesn't work. You may need to download the latest version from Apple's download site.

Also, try holding the power button down until the phone goes off, and then turn it back on.

If the home button is actually bad, then you have a real problem. You can't close apps without it, so you'd be stuck with the phone app open 100% of the time, unless you powered off, back on, and then opened something else.

but since it's jailbroken, I can actually use an app that works as the home button. I have a sharp suspicion that the button isn't actually broken. It literally stopped working the second I connected it to my computer, so I think that has something to do with it. I haven't put my sim card in yet, but the phone basically works. It can connect to wifi and the one thing that was in the ipod still plays. So the phone functions. If i could get it to reset I'm sure i'd be in business.

i should have just ordered an iphone weeks ago

i've been on the "priority list" at the apple store for 12 days now, but still no phone.
and no one at the apple store will even give me an estimate as to how long they think it will be.

my local radio shack says they will call me when they get one in and hold it for me for 30 minute.
(very surprisingly they actually called me last weekend and told me they had a phone for me, but i was out of town for the holiday weekend).

the at&t stores i've stopped into dont seem to think they will be getting any more until the end of the month.

the apple stores tell me they are getting shipments almost daily, but they all go to the people on the "priority list", so it's not even possible to wait for one, etc.

ordering online says it will take 7-10 days.
i KNOW that the minute i order one online, that i will be contacted by the apple store or radioshack to tell me they have a phone for me.

i dont really have a question.
i just wanted to bitch and moan for awhile.

I downloaded the finger of God IPAD my application, but my successors will always be displayed on the back of my buildings.(I logged into my account + plus, but still not working. Change the game developed in iphone to ipad

I have developed a game for the iPhone using coco2d 0.99.3. I want this to work in the IPAD. I have the new images that are larger in size and resolution than the images of the iPhone. I can change the images and enforcement. Or I can add frames to operate in the IPAD.

First, you need to update your objective in support of IPAD. You can do this by right clicking on the game of your destination and select the upgrade option. You will be greeted by a message asking if you want to have one or two published applications. The choice is yours. Then add the resolution superior art, and modify your code to select the right art based on the device. You also need to ensure coordination (for PCB (x, y) for example) are hard coded (like cpp (240 160)) and instead calculated on the basis of winsize CCDirector, etc. would also be a good idea to go through the project and the target configuration and make sure everything is correct.
