iPad's screen format
We are all familiar with the widescreen these days: on our computers, televisions and even our iPhones. All Macs now come with screens 16:10 (except the iMac, which is 16:9) HDTV screens are 16:9, and iPhones and iPod touch is 15:10. These devices are designed for content that is considered essentially horizontal: even if you are working on word processing documents and read Web pages resulting from the vertical wants Apple to know that you can watch movies on your Mac In fact, widescreen format has become so common in recent years that many people seem surprised by the aspect ratio of 4:3 IPAD.
Those who used computers for a while will recognize the old middle of the pixel resolution of 1024x768 in IPAD. It was the resolution used by most monitors, at least those who were 14 or 15 inches, the most common size for many years. The first iMac in 1998 has a 15-inch screen at 1024x768, as the first flat-panel iMac in 2002. It was not until 2003 that Apple began shipping Macs widescreen.
Then go to 4:3 for the IPAD, some commentators scratching their heads, or even cut. Macworld hands on the article on IPAD emphasized that this did not work well for watching movies: It's the dark side of Apple with a 4:3 to a 16:9 screen when video content does simply not working match the content.
